The 30-second version
PhantomCode is a coding-interview AI assistant in the form factor of a stealth desktop overlay. The most-asked questions about it are does it work, can interviewers see it, and how is it different from ChatGPT — answered below.
How it actually works
- Capture. Hit a global hotkey while looking at the coding problem on HackerRank, CodeSignal, LeetCode, or any browser-based assessment. PhantomCode takes a screenshot of just the visible problem area.
- Analyze. The screenshot is sent to PhantomCode's AI engine, which understands the problem regardless of category — DSA, system design, SQL, conceptual.
- Solve. The model returns a complete answer: approach explanation, optimized code in your preferred language, time and space complexity analysis, and follow-up considerations. Use Deep Think mode for thorough reasoning, Fast Think for time-pressured answers.
- Stream. The response streams to your overlay so you can read along and explain to the interviewer in your own words while the model is still typing.
What it's not
PhantomCode is not a general chatbot, a mock-interview marketplace, a behavioral interview prep tool, or a job-application automator. It does one thing: helps software engineers solve technical interview problems in real time without being detected by screen-sharing software.
Pricing summary
- Subscriptions (unlimited interview-call credits while active): Monthly $49/month, Yearly $199/year, Lifetime $399 (one-time).
- Credit packs (credits never expire): Starter $19, Basic $49, Power $69.
Where to start
Most users run a 5-minute undetectability test in a self-recorded Zoom call before their first real interview. Then they pick a credit pack or a monthly plan and use PhantomCode for the next 2–4 weeks of interviews.
